Everything you need to set up and use Bridgemote.
Bridgemote is designed to be as simple and invisible as possible. Because it’s a lightweight, privacy-first utility, it’s provided "as is". However, if you are having issues getting started, check out our frequently asked questions below.
Bridgemote requires watchOS 11.0 or later and an Apple Watch paired with an iPhone running iOS 18.0 or later. It relies on Apple HomeKit's TV service APIs which were introduced in watchOS 11, so older devices unfortunately are not supported.
Bridgemote discovers TVs via Apple HomeKit. Your TV must be connected to your Apple Home app first. Go to the Home app on your iPhone, tap the "+" and select "Add Accessory". Follow your TV manufacturer's instructions to add the TV to HomeKit. Once it appears in your Apple Home app, it will instantly show up in Bridgemote.
Bridgemote works automatically with any modern Smart TV that supports Apple HomeKit integrations. If you are able to control your TV natively via the Apple Home app on your iPhone, Bridgemote on the Apple Watch will detect it.
Because Bridgemote is completely serverless and private, your Apple Watch and your Smart TV must be connected to the exact same Wi-Fi network. If your watch is on cellular power or a guest Wi-Fi, it will not be able to securely interact with your TV.
No. Once the Bridgemote app is downloaded onto your device from the App Store, it communicates purely over your local Wi-Fi. It uses zero internet footprint thereafter.
Bridgemote is offered strictly "as-is" to keep it remarkably fast, secure, and privacy-first. While we constantly ensure the app functions smoothly with major iOS updates, we are not actively adding new platform integrations or complex features. It's built to just simply work.
Bridgemote is provided strictly "as-is" and we do not provide direct technical support or troubleshooting. However, if you have other inquiries or wish to get in touch, you can email us at support@bridgemote.com.
